12. Avoid Living In A Cul de Sac

It is also not a good idea to live in a building (an apartment block) or a house that is located at the end of a cul de sac. This suggests a situation where should you get into trouble, there is "no way out". Should you find that your house is indeed located at the end of a dead end road and you do not want to move out, then the way to deal with the situation is to build an inner courtyard with a wall directly facing the road. On the wall place a "window". This enables you to symbolically capture whatever bad chi is being directed at the house. The tranquil serenity of the courtyard transforms any bad chi that enters through the window. Needless to say the courtyard must be landscaped with healthy growing plants, water features and good earth energy such as stonewash or pebbles.
