Respect For Others
" By developing a sense of respect for others and a concern for their welfare, we reduce our own selfishness, which is the source of all problems, and enhance our sense of kindness, which is a natural source of goodness. "

19. Auspicious Flow Of Water

The flow of water is auspicious when it flows pass the main door as follows:

- When your main door faces a primary direction i.e. it faces North, South, East or West, the water should flow past the main door from left to right.

- When the main door faces a secondary direction i.e. it faces NW, SW, NE, NW the water should flow past the main door from right to left.

18. Slow Moving Water

The presence of a slow moving river or stream in front of your home indicates good feng shui. The best is to be "embraced by water". To practitioners of landscape feng shui, when water chi wraps around the house, it creates prosperity vibes to all who live within.

Facing Problems
" If, despite external difficulties or problems, internally one's attitude is of love, warmth and kindheartedness, then problems can be faced and accepted easily. "

17. Use A Compass

Even if you are practicing landscape from school feng shui which does not require the compass, nevertheless it is important to get your orientations correct and for this, you will need a compass. When you use compass feng shui, you definitely require proper compass. The western style modern compass, which shows the magnetic north, is suitable for feng shui use as this is the NORTH that applies to all compass formulas for yang dwellings.

For The Good Of All
" Even if only a few individuals try to create mental peace and happiness within themselves and act responsibly and kindheartedly towards others, they will have a postive influence in their community. "

16. Regular Shaped Property

This applies equally to land and building. The basis for building a good feng shui house is regular shaped pieced of land. Such properties have no missing corners and it is also easier to apply compass formulas more effectively.

Characteristics Of The Evolved Individual
" We need human qualities such as more scruples, compassion and humility... These qualities are accessible only through forceful individual development. "

15. Beware Of Man-Made Structures

In addition to natural structures found in the environment, it is also advisable to be mindful of man made structures that overwhelm your home thus bringing killing chi into your home. Transmission towers, hostile looking buildings, sharp edges of buildings, elevated roads and so forth. Man made structures are often difficult to counter, so it is best to avoid them completely.

" The very purpose of our life is happiness; in order to achieve happier days, happier weeks, happier years, happier family, happier human community... we should pay more attention to inner development. "

14. Being Between Taller Hostile Buildings

If yours is an abode hemmed in by two larger buildings, it can cause you to get bullied by your peers and overlooked by your superiors. The remedy for this is to keep the front part of your house well lit. A massive display of yang energy is excellent.

Practise Love
" To do so in all situations will take time, but you should not lose courage. If we wish happiness for mankind, love is the only way. "

13. Do Not Face A T-Junction

This is one of the most widely known afflictions in landscape feng shui. In fact almost all Chinese are so familiar with this particular feng shui taboo that it is difficult for anyone to sell a house that faces an oncoming road to a Chinese family. The oncoming road is regarded as a poison arrow and the best way to solve this problem should you need to, is to literally block the offending road from view. If your house faces an oncoming road but you are located higher than the road, then the road will not harm you. But if your house is lower than the road then the oncoming road takes on the hostile energies of a deadly tiger.

The Inner Journey
" Purifying the mind is not easy. It takes a lot of time and hard work... You need tremendous willpower and determination right from the start, accepting that there will be many obstacles, and resolving that despite them all you will continue until you have attained your goal. "

12. Avoid Living In A Cul de Sac

It is also not a good idea to live in a building (an apartment block) or a house that is located at the end of a cul de sac. This suggests a situation where should you get into trouble, there is "no way out". Should you find that your house is indeed located at the end of a dead end road and you do not want to move out, then the way to deal with the situation is to build an inner courtyard with a wall directly facing the road. On the wall place a "window". This enables you to symbolically capture whatever bad chi is being directed at the house. The tranquil serenity of the courtyard transforms any bad chi that enters through the window. Needless to say the courtyard must be landscaped with healthy growing plants, water features and good earth energy such as stonewash or pebbles.

Spirituality Outside Of Religion
" Without accepting a religion, but simply developing a realisation of the importance of compassion and love, and with more concern and respect for others, a kind of spiritual development is very possible for those persons who are outside of religion. "

11. Avoid Living On Hill Tops

If you are in a position to choose where you live, avoid the highest points such as hilltops and penthouses that are located in apartment blocks built on top of a hill. When you are at the highest point, you are not protected from the winds and other elements. In other words, you are vulnerable and will easily succumb to defeat should you find yourself in a competitive situation. You must not think that living on the highest point makes you invincible and strong. On the contrary, it exposes you to attack - like the tall poppy syndrome.

10. Water That Is Visible Should Be Clean

To benefit the household residents, any kind of water, which is visible from the house, must be clean and flowing. Stagnant water is negative yin water and this can be harmful to health. Yang water is far more beneficial, especially for yang dwellings. Dirty water creates shar chi, which brings unlucky vibrations that result in ill health for residents. It is worse if water smells of decaying materials or is muddy. If the drain outside your house stinks, you must do something to clean the drain immediately. Otherwise misfortune will strike in some form.

The Seeds Of Spirituality
" The essence of all spiritual life is your emotion, your attitude towards others. Once you have pure and sincere motivation, all the rest follows. "

9. Placement Of Water Is Vital

Water can be artificially created and this is as effective as natural water. Where pools of water are man made, it should be cleverly placed to tap into auspicious chi energy based on different formulas. Never try to create big bodies of water in your home without accurate compass feng shui input. There is nothing more dangerous. On the other hand, when water is correctly placed in accordance with any one of the formulas, then water has the capability of attracting serious wealth luck for you.

Spiritual Progress
" We must take direct responsibility for our own spiritual lives and rely upon nobody and nothing... If another being were able to save us, he would already have done so? It is time, therefore, that we help ourselves. "

8. Three Peaks Denotes Honours For Children

When there are three vertical peaks within view of your house, it suggests that the children of the home will attain great academic honours. In China there is a lagend that the late Supreme leader Deng Hsiao Ping came from a house with just such a view - so his village had always expected that his family would produce a great scholar. They produced a great leader instead. You can stimulate the presence of "three peaks" to benefit the scholastic aspirations of your children by artificially building three peaks as a design on your wall or gate.

50th Merdeka Day (MALAYSIA)

Celebrations to usher in the 50th Merdeka (Independence) Day were held in a grand manner nationwide on the 31st August, 2007. It marks the nation independence since 1957 where “Merdeka” was first hailed 50 years ago at Stadium Merdeka by Tunku Abdul Rahman (Father of Independence).

The Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi) said the country’s independence was fought for by all races in Malaysia and their joint effort had been the basis for the country’s success.

Wishing Malaysia, Happy Merdeka Day and many 50 years to come. We must be thankful for the prosperity enjoyed by so many of us, and may we prosper and develop as a peaceful and stable country.

" Merdeka, merdeka, merdeka !!! "

7. Land With Good Fortune Symbols

Look for hill formations that remind you of some good fortune symbol such as dragon head, a coin, a butterfly... If your land has a view of a "symbol" which appeals to you, then living there will bring you good fortune. On the other hand when hill formations or rock outcrops remind you of fierce predatory animals such as eagles, tigers and even rats and foxes, these can bring misfortune and illness. Once in Hong Kong in the Sixties, an entire apartment block came sliding down in the Mid Levels, killing many of those living there. It was reported that feng shui masters had repeatedly warned of the outcrop of rock overhanging the apartment block. Some said it resembled a panther about to spring on the building - and it finally did. So do be alert to malevolent rock outcrops that seem to threaten your home or building. Might be better to move out.

Look for land that has compact reddish loam. Such soil is full of the breath of the dragon, which is the celestial breath that brings abundance. Avoid hard rocky soil where even the grass cannot grow.

5. Undulating Land Is Superior

Gentle slopes are very auspicious and this is superior to land that is completely flat. But also avoid land that is excessively steep. The ideal land is slightly higher behind and lower in front. Such land is said to have the potential to nurture dragons.
